Somerset Larder brings together produce from some of the region’s best farmers, artisan food makers, coffee roasters and bakers – creating a variety of catering and food to go for HPC.   Our ethos is to use fresh food using locally sourced ingredients from all over the West Country, so let us introduce you to the suppliers we use in the food you eat and drinks you consume:

Real Wrap Co.

Real Wrap Co (based in Avonmouth) provides top quality, ready-made sandwiches, with innovation and taste at the forefront. They are the first food-to-go manufacture in the world to achieve carbon negative status, their sandwich and wrap boxes use a cellulose window completely sourced from trees, as a result they can be easily recycled into mixed and card recycling bins. Any hard plastics used is from 95-100% recycled PET produced at a wind and solar powered factory.

Pynes Butchers

Pynes Butcher

85% of our meat is locally sourced and there’s no better local butcher than Pynes of Somerset. Family owned since 1984 and based in North Petherton, only meat from animals that have been reared to the highest standards is used at HPC and sourced from Pynes.

Arthur David

Three generations of the David family have perfected the finest seasonal and fresh produce since 1962. All of which comes from the beautiful Chew Valley. Arthur David grow and produce the best and freshest fruit and veg in our local region which is used in all our recipes.

Clifton Coffee Roasters

Clifton Coffee, based in Bristol, were founded in 2001 and have grown substantially over the years becoming one of the leading Roasters in the West Country. All our barista coffee served at HPC comes from sustainable and ethical sources due to the ground breaking relationship that Clifton have with coffee farmers around the world. Your coffee is directly sourced from Robert Lima’s farm in El Salvador as part of the E1 project. The tasting notes are plum, gingerbread and dark chocolate and the strength of the coffee is 4. Miles Tea and Coffee

Miles Tea & Coffee

The name Miles goes back a long way, in fact, they’ve been blending tea since 1888. Their factory is based on the beautiful Somerset coastline of Porlock, on the edge of the UK’s smallest National Park, Exmoor. We are proud to bring this heritage onto the HPC site by providing Miles tea and coffee in all our restaurants, cafes and shops.

Mortimers Bakery

Mortimers have been baking savouries, cakes, breads and treats since 1948. With traditional methods still being used, Mortimers bake late to guarantee freshness and their bread is delivered 3 times a week to HPC meaning we only use the best and freshest bread in our restaurants.

Tarka Springs

Tarka Springs, based in Devon, was started in 2001 after the Folland family diversified their farm. Their spring offers some of the best quality water, rich in natural vitamins. Tarka pave the way for sustainable farming sourcing all of their raw ingredients from the UK to lower their carbon footprint, installing solar panels to power their farm, recycling their carboard and plastic waste and ensuring that 100% of their bottles can be safely recycled.

Windsor Catering, based in Bridgwater, have been providing HPC with pre-packed sandwiches since the start of the project. The Wales family have continued to work with Somerset Larder over the years in ensuring that the freshest and best quality produce is delivered on site and in all the HPC vending machines.

Somerset Larder – Central Production Kitchen

We couldn’t leave out our state of the art central production kitchen (CPK) based in North Petherton and which was created to supply food and produce to HPC directly. Here we have the capacity to produce up to 15,000 meals a day and our regional wholesale suppliers deliver direct to CPK ensuring that we remain committed to reducing our carbon footprint. Any mass production of food comes from the CPK and is delivered daily to site to ensure that food is fresh and of the best quality when it arrives, we also bake a number of our sweet treats in house, so when we say our products are homemade, we mean it!
